So after Greg got to play big baller at the grammy’s, he let us in on some inside secrets of how the grammy’s are held. Brett talks about how Lady Gaga’s outfit was just terrible, but I guess that is her style. We get straight into it with learning how to say NO to projects and managing your time successfully.

Segment 1: Cool Tools And Apps

So since we have been dipping our toes more and more in the app world we are trying to find tools that can make understanding the market and how our apps are doing in the store with more in depth statistics. We have been using App Viz2 and it was doing a really good job of keeping us on top of everything but was missing some stuff that we wanted to see. Such as being able to see data from both iOS and Android Markets.

We found a recent new tool that we are giving some props and giving a try as well. It is called App Figures. It has a lot of in depth data that we can tap into and it is making our job of understanding our apps living and moving actions in the app stores a lot better.

Segment 2: Ambitious Action Plan

This weeks Ambitious Action Plan is all about Creating Your Core Concept. Learn more about how to take that Big Idea and put it into a real viable business model that has real potential to take you soaring into entrepreneur success.

We go over some of the top experts that understand the power of creating their core concepts and making them better and having others tell their stories to grow their audience.

Some of these people include:

1. Executives Suites -A Hotel For Solopreneurs
2. Strategic Profits – Turning Opportunity Seekers Into Strategic Entrepreneurs
3. Time Ferris – Experiments In Lifestyle Design
4. The Elevation Group – Black Box Investing Strategies Of The Rich

Greg goes into to detail with all of these Core Concepts as we break down how to develop your own core concepts.

If you are wanting to create your core concept here are some questions you need to be asking yourself:
1. You are presenting something new to the marketplace
2. You have a GREAT USP – make sure you differentiate yourself in the marketplace, otherwise, all is lost before it begins
3. Feel original, it’s like a secret that you “want” to share
4. Focus on your client, or customer – what are you doing for them, how are you changing their life
5. Pattern Interrupt – this goes back to your USP, but don’t be boring, be something that your market wants to see and isn’t used to
6. Benefit driven – again what are you doing for me – your prospect or client
7. Add social proof if you have it. Position that social proof around your Big Idea or Concept
8. Easy for others to tell your story – can one of your clients tell your story and elaborate on your BIG IDEA
9. Make it sleek and sexy. If you print it on a t-shirt is it cool or corny. I MAKE PRODUCTS / OPPORTUNITY SEEKERS FAIL, etc
10. Get to work – I have to as well!

The meat of this episode is focused on Greg getting his Product Pro System course featured on AppSumo. This promotion brought in a good amount of sales for a weeks work…I’d tell you how many, but you’ll have to listen to the podcast for that…he he

Segment 1: Cool Tools And Apps

This week we look at some really cool tools for researching mobile apps for both iOS and Android. Greg found the really cool tool – Yahoo App Search, which can help you find all the newest apps and show their rankings in Android and iOS which is one up on the other tool that Brett mentioned called App Data.

Both are really good tools for tracking rankings for different apps in different categories and by any developers that you want to look at their apps.

This is a good tool for understanding a certain groups network of apps and figuring out how they built their network so that eventually they are now in the top of the app store.

Its a science and still sometimes I can’t figure out how some people with only 1 app can rank well in the app store. That just throws my whole theories in a bind.

This week’s hip-hop quote comes from Wyclef Jean

I just got back from spending an amazing weekend in Delray Beach with some of the biggest and best online marketers on the planet including one of my mentors, Rich Schefren from Strategic Profits.

This week I am going to share some of the biggest lessons from that trip as well as a great book I grabbed on accident at Barnes and Noble. It was calling my name from the best-seller counter and I haven’t put it down yet.

This week I am off to the Grammy Awards with 40 of our best clients. It’s going to be a great week, so look out for next week’s musings as they will be very action packed.

Onto this week’s issue.

Things I Read That Might Help Or Inspire You:

Questions and Answers on Travel Hacking by Chris G. I’ve been spending more and more time on the road and Chris always has killer ideas and resources.

Falling (Mad) Men by Esquire (still need to watch all of these on Netflix, maybe on the next 4+ hour flight)

Action Vs Learning by Sebastian Marshall

Creativity and Culture Drive Economy by Chase Jarvis. I love how this study shows how the creative people of Seattle contribute $13 billion to the local economy. That’s #ballin

Things I Spend Money On

Reality Is Broken – by Jane McGonigal (why games make us better and how they can change the world). This is the book I cant put down. If you are into gaming, or how people learn, this is a must read.

Apps Magazine – these are some of the best places to research. Niche magazines like this. Find them in your industry and read them cover to cover. Other tips – get in touch with some of the writers and interview them, get them on Skype and inflate their ego.

A tie clip. They seem to be the cool thing to wear with suits and tuxedos these days and I decided against the bowtie and going with the skinny black tie and tie clip for the Grammy’s. We’ll see how that turns out.

World Domination Summit Tickets – I will be heading to Portland in July to hang with 1,000 other Ambitious entrepreneurs at WDS. If you are going, send me a message so we can link up.

Things I Learned

In Delray, Rich shared some really thought provoking things and the one that struck most was to have 1 Big Idea. One concept that instantly makes people think of you and your business. For Rich its that he helps opportunity seekers become strategic entrepreneurs. For me, it’s that I help entrepreneurs and professionals create highly valuable Nd financially rewarding info products. What’s your big idea?

The next step from there is to fine as many channels as possible to support that message. From webinars to reports, videos to live events and everything in between, learn to tell different stories that lead different prospects to believe in your one big idea. You can also think of these as hooks or angles that support your big idea.

Find and study anything you can from Mike Palmer, a copywriter from Agora. He is the copy ninja from their End Of America promotion that to this day (over a year and a half later) still brings in 3,000 new customers everyday. There are bits and pieces of seminar footage and write ups online that can be golden for your business promotion when dealing with copy.

Closing Thoughts

This week has been a huge week. I am putting together a BIG affiliate launch for InfoProductPro and while it’s been fun, it has been taxing. So many moving parts, combined with my ambitious goals (50 affiliates and 500 sales) and you hVE a high pressure situation.

It is stretching me outside of my comfort zone and forcing me to call, Skype and meet in person with potential affiliates. I love the challenge and am excited to see how well I am able to pull everything together.

I want to leave you with a cliche thing to do this week. Force yourself to do one thing outside of your comfort zone. Cold call someone. Go to an event or to a bar by yourself. Buy something expensive. Do some kind of crazy physical activity. Just do something that makes your blood pressure race and makes you want to call your mom right away and tell her how cool you.

Let me know what you did to get outside of your comfort zone over on the RA Facebook page.

Till next week,

Greg

This past week I spent a lot of time preparing and setting up an action plan for the coming months and a big, big product launch. I went back and listened to some great programs and recordings and really want to over-deliver to both customers and affiliates this go-around.

You will see a big focus on learning and how people learn over the next few issues as I continue to study, learn and improve in that area.

With that said, here is this week’s issue of Ambitious Musings:

What I Read This Week That Can Have An Impact For You

They Are Wrong About Your Potential by Craig Ballantyne

Things I Spent My Money On This Week

My new book Champions came out on Thursday. It features 20+ entrepreneurs including Ryan Lee, Nick Nanton and others.

Course About Building A Course from AppSumo

A really nice bow tie (heading to the Grammy’s next week)

What I Learned This Week

1. No matter how cool you are, or think you are, when marketing your products it’s all about the person buying. This is something that I know, but I had to be reminded of it. We have some big Facebook Ad campaigns running right now and one look at the landing pages by a friend of mine gave me exactly what I needed.

While we are giving away a free copy of a best-selling book, no one really cares. All they care about it what the book is going to do for them. Punch them in the guts with what your product can do for them. If your marketing only does one thing, make sure it’s that.

2. Make sure you are ready when an opportunity comes. We have a HUGE promotion scheduled for Tuesday and while everything to do with this offer is solid, I am not quite ready for the backend and knowing what to do with an influx of customers. We do not have our membership program ready to go and the gap in prices is too steep to offer anything premium too fast.

We are going back to the drawing board and pulling late nights, but it may prove to be too little, too late. Make sure you are always ready for big things. You never know when they are going to come and sometimes they happen really fast.

Closing Thoughts

This week I want to leave you with a little to-do task. Do something for someone this week. Invite someone to an event. Send someone a book in the mail. Buy a stranger a drink.

The more and more I learn about life, the more I learn it’s about making people happy and giving them something to smile about. Include people, make them feel welcome and wanted.

Do this and watch how it affects your behavior and how everything comes back around to you. But don’t do it for that reason. Do it because you might just make a new friend.

Till next week,

Greg Rollett

This week's hip-hop quote from from indie hip-hop artist Murs from the group Felt, the track is called Chewed Up.
so cool at the same time, all heat
so fly i shoulda been in star fleet
ride shotgun in my x-wing

I subscribe to a really cool weekly newsletter from Early To Rise where the editor, Craig Ballantyne shares some detailed things that are happening in his life and business and how they can help us, his subscribers.

It’s such a powerful concept and looking back on your week, every week, is something that I shared in detail in Episode #2 of the Radically Ambitious Podcast.

I wanted to do the same for you guys – whether you have been one of my music subscribers, or from the Rock Star Lifestyle days, or even the new Radically Ambitious or ProductPros fans.

So, every Monday night I will be sending over Ambitious Musings, where I take a look back at the things, the people and the resources that helped me over the past week.

I think you are going to dig it!

Ambitious Musings – Issue #1

Top 5 Things I Read This Week:
1. How To Use Natural Networking To Connect With Anyone
2. Create. Learn. Improve. Repeat.
3. Spotify’s Daniel Ek: The Most Importnat Man In Music
4. How To Learn And Enjoy Life More: The Power Of Audio Learning
5. 21 Tactics To Increase Blog Traffic

Things I Spent My Money On This Week
No BS Price Strategy – A newer book from marketing legend Dan Kennedy. I’m looking forward to this one as in the last year I have gone from selling $47 courses to $5,000+ packages and growing. Now I am going back to the mid-tier with a new suite of products and pricing is always something I spend a lot of time on. Have this one loaded up on the Kindle now.

How To Start A Blog That Matters - This is a new training program from Corbett Barr of ThinkTraffic.net. I haven’t bought a how-to blog course ever, thinking I knew it all and had actually built some pretty big blogs before (GenYRockStars.com, etc). Now that I am getting my feet back into the game I needed some guidance and no one has done a better job at growing blogs that people care about than Corbett.

You can grab a copy of his course here, or learn about my bonus for the program here. I already took over 2,500 words of notes that my partner Brett said is “More than awesome, f*&^ing awesome doesn’t do it justice.”

Things I Learned This Week:

1. If you think you need to go through paperwork, nonsense and hoops, they really aren’t that bad. After a few weeks of thinking that getting a few government papers was difficult, I kept brushing off getting our Apple Developer License. This pushed back some design and development deadlines.

Turns out, I could download the forms for $0.99 instantly on a government issued website. Doh. Sometimes you just need to do things right when they are in front of you or else you build them up to be a bigger deal than they really are.

Today we got our Apple Developer’s license (more on this soon)!

2. It’s really easy to get involved and get known. I’ve been pretty quiet on the social media front for about a year and a half now – not blogging much, not reaching out to people, just quietly building my business. But I missed the people, the interactions and the opportunities.

Turns out, just sending a few quality emails, calling people on the phone and plain old asking to connect can get you back in the game quickly. Listen to this week’s Podcast (Episode #6) to hear about some of the cool things that have happened in the past week from getting back in the game.

3. Rise Against is really, really good live. Finally got a chance to see them live and boy was it a good show.

Closing Thoughts:

What would make you jump out of bed every morning? And what are you doing right now to make that situation happen?

Leave your comments and feedback on the Radically Ambitious Facebook page.

Till next week,

Greg Rollett

P.S. Very soon this series will only be available to Radically Ambitious Newsletter Subscribers. If you don’t want to be left out, and you want to join the New Rich Living Entrepreneurs, signup on the box on this page so you never miss a beat.

There are really only 2 types of people in this world.

Those that lead

Those that follow

From birth we are ingrained to follow. To follow the guidance of our parents (usually good) to following the education system (eh, sometimes not so good) to following what the media wants us to believe (from news and politics to music, entertainment and the status quo).

That makes it hard to follow. And then when you try and lead it is even harder to be heard.

It really hits perspective with the number of musicians trying to make a name for themselves, to break out of the local clutter and define a culture.

Same goes for the number of people starting online businesses.

I was doing research for a client that owns a dog training business and they wanted to create a few info products. Qualifications, check. They have trained over 1,500 dogs in the last 5 years. The track record speaks for itself.

But one search on Amazon.com reveals 24,311 results for “dog training.”

Clickbank has 371 dog training products alone in their marketplace.

Hard to be a Trendsetter when you are going up against that, right?

Wrong.

It just means you have to be better, faster, stronger, more efficient and really provide lasting value.

Something that strikes people’s attention longer than a 3-minute YouTube clip. Something that is still being talked about 20-30-40-50 years later.

How do you do that? You create something that matters.

Create music that matters. Stand for something. Love her or hate her but Gaga stands for something. She’s created a movement.

Create products that matter. Dan Kennedy is still selling a marketing product (Magnetic Marketing) that he sold at seminars 30 years ago and hasn’t updated one page.

Why? Because it stands for something. It matters to the business owners that went through it.

We all now have the opportunity to use our voices in ways that were never possible. The problem is most of us use it to be average, generic. To fit into the crowd. To follow.

I want to lead. I tried following and it didn’t work.

I tried to follow into Corporate America when my music career ended.
I tried to follow into Venture Capital land and get a quick cash out when we went public.

Both times were very, very bad experiences.

When I led I was inspired. Our music created a movement. We even had a name for our fans (Stumppaholics). I remember performing one night and I couldn’t hear myself at all because the entire venue was rapping my lyrics louder than me.

I want that feeling back.

It’s happened a few times since then.

The day my first book hit #1 on Amazon.com.

The first time I gave a platform talk on stage.

The first time I sold a product and made more in one night than 3 month’s salary in Corporate America.

It’s time to get that voice back on a daily basis.

It’s why I’m getting back to basics. I’m schooling myself.

I make info products for a living these days and here I am taking a course that 2 years ago I could have created. But I got off my path, so I’m going back to get schooled.

I want to get schooled on creating that voice, that movement, that trend.

Corbett Barr has created a great program called ‘How To Start A Blog That Matters‘ and I just enrolled. I want to work with Mr. Burky to create Radically Ambitious into a voice for the New Rich, for entrepreneurs who want it all – money, fame, time, a family, etc.

Blogging has been the #1 way that I got where I am. 2 quick examples:

I was contacted by both Coca-Cola and Miller Lite to do consulting on their youth marketing both because of blog posts I wrote about youth marketing that they stumbled upon. I still use them both in my bio today and the business it has given me since is priceless.

For about 2 years I wrote more guest posts than anyone that I can think of. One that I wrote for Mashable.com on the music industry got the attention of Nick Nanton. Two years later he has helped me become a best-selling author and partnered with me to create the ProductPros, the business that I always dreamt of creating.

And there are countless other examples.

Today I want you to make the decision to create something that matters. Yes, I am telling you about a product that I feel you should invest in.

But here’s the kicker. I’ll be going through it with you. I’m going back to the drawing board to rebuild my personal brand after hibernating for the past year with my head in startup mode running a business (a great business, btw). This is above and beyond the ‘ProductPro’ persona that I love and am continuing to build.

But it’s time to get back out there. That’s why I am rallying behind Corbett Barr’s new product.

How To Start A Blog That Matters is a 90 day roadmap to build something that changes lives – starting with your own.

And here’s the deal – I am offering a really cool bonus for anyone that buys via my link below.

If you pick up the course through my link on this page, I will hook you up with a signed copy of my best-selling book Trendsetters.

In the book I wrote about how to create products that matter and can build an insane business for you.

I only have 20 of them left and some just got picked up.

Here’s how to get down.

Learn more about Corbett’s program here

Send your receipt along with your mailing address to rollettmarketing@gmail.com

I’ll sign and mail you a copy of Trendsetters

We will both go through this program together and create something really cool that matters.

Ok, time for me to go back to creating a killer info product for a client – which is something that really matters to him!!

I look forward to building something that matters with you,

Greg
